The United States of America started mass-producing cars in the 1900s after technological breakthroughs had occurred in Europe in the early 1800s.

The Big Three US automakers (Ford, General Motors and Chrysler) are the pioneers in manufacturing American cars. Service, design and speed have been the key factors that determine the strength of cars produced in the United States, from the classic Mustang to the latest Cadillac CTS.
