Chevrolet Captiva

Available in diesel and gas, GM’s CUV comes with far improved credentials over its established peers. It’s very mush in the quality/value for money mold of the slightly smaller Kia Sportage/Hyundai Tucson with ride and handling honed to allow it to wear the Opel Antara badge in Europe. On the highway, the Captiva, with its Audi Q7 profile, proved quite absorbent of bumps like Honda CR-V. The steering has a peculiar self-centering feel. The Captiva diesel has the “in-demand” CRDI engine; so good that the GM plant in Korea cannot keep up with the global demand. From a style and equipment point of view, it ups the ante on the established ASEAN CUVs and both rivals from Korea. Think of it as Chevrolet’s CR-V.
